Hate Your Home, Love Your Mortgage

Never in the time of Real Estate has anyone said that they "Hate their home, but love their Mortgage!" I get it! I really do. I was telling a friend of mine the rate I refinanced at 2 years ago. His reply to me was, "Don't tell many people that or you won't have any friends!" 

The fact is yes rates were at all-time lows leading up to and through the pandemic. We also saw a cultural shift of folks deciding they didn't want to live where they were anymore. They were stuck at home with nothing to do. So why not buy a home! I mean that's what one does when they are bored right? 

The Real Estate market does unique things from time-to-time. That is a fact that cannot be argued. And this rate hike will subside. I don't know when and I don't care to guess. However, Americans see the value in owning a home! They always have and they always will. And the government wants us to own homes...they like to collect taxes.
